Y Gender is a social group for Trans, Genderqueer, Gender Questioning young people and friends. We run social events and have monthly meetings to organise projects. This group is based in Melbourne, Australia.

The aim of the project is to improve young people of all gender identities’ wellbeing by fostering a supportive environment where young Trans*, Genderqueer and Gender Questioning young people can gather for social events and meetings to participate in empowering projects.

How does Ygender achieve this aim?

*Run events that enable social support
*Assist young people to gain knowledge about health and wellbeing
*Encourage empowering projects based around the community’s needs
*Collaborate and plan with other organisations
*Remain a sustainable and good quality project overall
