New young adult novel F2M The Boy Within

Many of us know Hazel Edwards'children's picture book There’s a Hippopotamus on Our Roof Eating Cake. Her latest work is quite different. F2M The Boy Within, about an 18 year old girl transitioning to a boy is Edward's groundbreaking new young adult novel. The novel covers issues related to bullying, gender discrimination, gender power, intersex and the difficulties that arise from looking like a girl on the outside, but inside you’re a boy. F2M The Boy Within is the only YA book in Australia or the world, co-written with a ftm (female to male) co-author, Ryan Kennedy, and is up for winning the 2012 Rainbow Awards.

You can find out where to order a copy on Hazel Edward's website below.
